What is your dream for your relationship with each other? What would your ideal marriage look like? Describe a typical day or week in the marriage of your dreams.

Be specific! How much eye contact would you have? How open would you be with your emotions, hopes, and dreams? Would you play together? How much would you talk or make love? Would you pray together? Work together? How many children would you have? What would you want most for yourselves?

This is not intended to be a realistic plan; this is your wildest dream. If you had no constraints and unlimited resources, how would you be with each other? Don’t worry about how possible or practical it is. Think only about the two of you, and let the dream that’s in your heart emerge.

Within every dream is a deeply held value – a heartfelt need that really needs to be built into your life for you to be happy. It might be for adventure, peace, security, companionship or freedom. No matter what your circumstances, it is possible to have a kernel of what’s important present in some way.
